Performance

The Tensor G5 is a substantial step up, with a TPU up to 60% more powerful and a CPU around 34% faster on average. In practice the gap between the Pixel 10 and the Pro models is minimal for everyday use. For messaging, browsing, navigation and photography you will not notice a difference.

Battery Life

Excellent. The 4970mAh battery comfortably clears a full day, and GrapheneOS’s reduced background processing extends it further than stock Android. Charging hits 55% in about 30 minutes, and Pixelsnap adds proper Qi2 magnetic wireless charging.

Security on GrapheneOS

This is the important part. The Pixel 10 runs an identical GrapheneOS build to the Pro and Pro XL — the same hardened memory allocator, the same verified boot with a re-locked bootloader, the same per-app network firewall. You are not buying weaker security by choosing the cheaper model.

The Value Proposition

At £749 from PrivacyPixel against Google’s £799 RRP, the Pixel 10 is £200 less than the Pixel 10 Pro. The security guarantees are identical. The differences are camera resolution, RAM, and display brightness — none of which affect your privacy posture.
